Synopsis
Time travel/Group portrait of two female protagonists/Mirror of fate/Women's survival dilemma/Spiritual dialogue between classical and modern times. A mottled bronze mirror connects the dilemmas of two time and space. In Jinling during the prosperous Tang Dynasty, Ming Jingqiu, the number one drunk fairy, was domesticated as a "living commodity" by her mother. She hid in a closet at the age of seven and witnessed the evil of human nature, leaving her soul forever trapped in the mud of the rainy season. The pipa string was playing "Neon Clothes and Feathered Clothes", and what was hidden in her eyes was the blood and tears in the streets and alleys, until the ancient mirror that reflected modern neon slipped out of her skirt, and she fell into the crystal lantern sea of 2023 in dizziness. In modern Nanjing, Su Qianhua, the eldest daughter of the Su family, is the "perfect doll" at a celebrity banquet. Her mother uses the etiquette of a lady to weave a golden cage and grinds the archaeological dream into dust. When she touched the bronze mirror from the Tang Dynasty on the dressing table with tangled branches carved on it, she opened her eyes and saw the carved bed of Zuixianju. On the unfamiliar face reflected in the mirror, the flowers in her eyes could not hide the tears that had not dried for thousands of years. In the rainy night and thunder, ripples appear on the mirrors of ancient and modern times. Women in the Tang Dynasty saw in the fluorescence of their smartphones the "smooth life" they had never dared to hope for. Modern girls can touch the pipa cocoons between the knuckles of the brothel woman in the fragrance of makeup. When the two images in the mirror overlapped, they were shocked to realize that the silver bracelets on each other's wrists had the same origin as the mirror patterns, and that the gears of fate had already become entangled with the neon lights of the 21st century in the rain of ten years in Xiantong. This is an "identity change" that spans a thousand years: She forced her to smile during the Tang Palace banquets, she helped her mediate in modern business wars; she taught her to use her mobile phone to take pictures of the Qinhuai River's current appearance, and she taught her to use the score of "Neon Clothes" to fight against rigid discipline; One seeks to survive under feudal ethics, while the other seeks for himself in the prison of capital. And deep in the secret of the bronze mirror, there is a truth more cruel than time travel - When the light in the mirror no longer flickers, can anyone escape the fate of being a "puppet on a string"? Two souls crushed and reshaped by the times will eventually piece together their own "sobriety in the world" through the cracks in the mirror. Purpose: Through the time and space mirror life of a brothel girl in the Tang Dynasty and a modern lady from a famous family, it reveals the common dilemma of women in different eras being objectified and disciplined, shows the soul awakening of the two heroines who break through the shackles of gender and pursues self-worth in the exchange of fate, and celebrates the mutual help and spiritual symbiosis of women that spans thousands of years.
