This is a healing novel spanning twenty years, telling a tender story about youth and redemption.
The protagonist Lin Muyang accidentally rescues Qin Enming, a lonely young man who was bullied in school at dusk, and discovers that he is surprisingly similar to his cousin Su Muhan who disappeared in Yunhe twenty years ago. With the adoption of Enming, Mu Yang was forced to face the traumatic memories of his childhood - the shadow of being bullied, the tragic marriage of his sixth uncle, the mystery of the death of Mu Han's brother, and the bitter past of being adopted as an orphan.
The novel unfolds with a two-line narrative. On one side is the modern story line of Mu Yang and Enming healing each other, and on the other side are the cruel youth memories of the Yunhe River in the 1990s. The fate of the two generations forms a wonderful echo in the intersection of time and space: Mu Yang was once a child rescued by Teacher Yang from the ice cave, and En Ming is most likely the continuation of Mu Han's life.
