Lin Xia and Shen Yao, a pair of best friends with very different personalities but attracted to each other. From the first meeting in the university library, to the agreement to walk in the rain, to the companionship of facing academic challenges together, their friendship has become deeper and deeper as time goes by. However, this friendship was not always smooth sailing - Shen Yao suddenly left due to family changes and went to study abroad, leaving Lin Xia to move forward alone in the pain of losing her best friend.
Just when Lin Xia thought she had gotten used to life without Shen Yao, an orange cat unexpectedly broke into her life, Toffee, and became the new warmth in her life. The appearance of Toffee not only allowed her to regain the joy of life, but also made her realize that the bond of friendship will never be severed by time and distance.
