Graphic designer Yu Mo received a commission from a mysterious client, Mr. Lin, to design wall paintings, and the reward was extremely generous. The working place is a mental hospital that has been abandoned for twenty years, and the remains of countless eye patterns can be vaguely seen on the walls.
Mr. Lin gave three strange rules: you cannot look directly into the eyes of the wall for more than three seconds, you cannot carry any electronic devices while working, and you must leave before dark. Yu Mo discovered that these rules were strikingly similar to the local urban legend of the "Wall of Gazing".
As the wall painting work began, Yu Mo experienced a series of strange phenomena - the eye pattern on the wall seemed to be moving, non-existent voices sounded in his ears, and he even saw the figure of his late father, all of which challenged the boundaries of his sanity.
Yu Mo's investigation found that Mr. Lin may be Lin Xiuming, a psychiatrist who disappeared here twenty years ago. Hospital records show that illegal human experiments were conducted here in an attempt to open the "third eye" through visual stimulation.
When Yu Mo finally looked directly into the wall for more than five seconds, he fell into the interface between hallucination and reality. He saw countless souls trapped in the wall, including his missing sister Yu Xue, and realized that he might be the next one to be devoured.
