People say that history is always surprisingly similar, as if it is a cycle, looping endlessly like the Five Elements and Bagua diagram. Everyone is a speck of dust in the long river of history, but everyone is the protagonist in their own history. Those who can be remembered by history and immortalized are the leaders of their era. I like history and these characters in history. Those of us who were born in a peaceful era may not be able to empathize with the characters of that era, but I feel that when we are confused or afraid, we may be able to find answers or clues in the book of history.
