In the cold corner of the city, two workers overwhelmed by life - "I" and Lao Liu, like two falling leaves, struggled to survive in the cracks of steel bars and iron bones. We shared a leaky work shed, shared cold steamed buns, and used our meager wages to fight against the ruthlessness of the world. Until the pain quietly gnaws at "my" body, and the expensive medical expenses completely collapse the already bleak life.
Lao Liu looked after "me" clumsily, like an old tool that was about to break. When death finally came, he used his last savings to buy a cheap urn, but stubbornly remembered the sea that "I" loved most during his lifetime. One dawn, he staggered to the pier holding the urn and scattered "my" ashes into the salty wind.
"Now you are free." He muttered, as if he saw a butterfly flying out of the ashes.
Intention: freedom
