Twenty years ago, in order to break through the bottleneck of martial arts, Ling Jiuxiao, the leader of the martial arts alliance, turned the people of the three villages in the Miao border into medicine men in the name of "curing the plague." The illegitimate son Jing Chenlu was the only successful product, but because the medicine poison backfired and his memory was incomplete, he was disguised as a "closed disciple" and trained. The heroine Tang Yiran is the surviving medicine boy of the year, with the symbiotic Gu King in her body. Her right leg was broken off by Ling Jiuxiao and thrown into the Gu pool, causing her to become lame.
The story begins when Tang Yiran disguises herself as a corpse collector and sneaks into the Miao village. She has a conflict with Jingchen Lu over laughing corpses, and many secrets are revealed after falling into a corpse cave. The two broke into the poison pool to detoxify, and their memories flashed back to reveal the past. Ling Jiuxiao appeared, Tang Yiran and Jingchen Lu's blood resonated and they saw each other's memories. After that, they experienced conspiracies in the crystal phantom prison, and Tang Yiran's leg bone crystallized to rebound the attack. In the end, Ling Jiuxiao activated the formation, and Tang Yiran implanted the Gu King into Jing Chenlu's body. The two worked together to trigger the resonance of the crystal core and the Gu King. Ling Jiuxiao turned into a crystal pillar, while Tang Yiran began to petrify because of the Gu King's separation. There are still many hidden clues and unresolved situations behind it.
