The story revolves around an unexpected incident that happened to the God of Death on his day off. The two protagonists have a sense of fate and connections between past and present lives. The God of Death, Shen Zhao, takes a special extradition mission in order to obtain a hundred-year vacation, but on a rainy night, he encounters the pianist Jiang Chengyue, who has an abnormal fate. Jiang Jinyue, who was supposed to die, not only survived, but also triggered Shen Zhao's sachet ban, causing the god of death to be trapped in the world.
