In an atmosphere where I love to read and enjoy reading, my reading life is also a note-taking life.
1. Our generation (Generation Y born in the 1970s) has personally experienced the entire process of the explosion of knowledge, from floppy disks, hard disks to cloud disks, from databases, shared documents to electronic note-taking APPs, and has a profound understanding of the multiple tragedies in the world: one is too few books, the other is too many books; the other is too few tools, and the other is too many tools.
2. The difference between humans and AI is that humans have physical bodies, emotions, aesthetics, and wisdom. Humans extend the length and width of their lives through reading. In contrast, the knowledge that AI can handle is only a part of it, and it is far from the most important part. The limited reading done by people in their limited life should be like drinking only one gourdful of water from three thousand people.
3. If the encounter between people and books is compared to love, reading notes are as solemn as a marriage. What's more, good reading notes can blossom and turn into personal gains or creations. I have always felt that the better the book, the more worthy it is to write a reading note and experience the heaviness of the body and the lightness of the mind at the same time.
