Chen Liang, a dropout from the police academy, was kicked into Cang Mu's "den of thieves" by his instructor Wang Shen. This former police genius is now a private detective with a sharp tongue and specializes in perverted cases. Chen Liang originally wanted to earn a living, but every day he was either used by Cang Mu as a locksmith, or his blood pressure soared when he said, "Your way of choking people is very professional."
To make matters worse, Chen Liang found that he was actually a little addicted to this madman's way of solving crimes - especially when Cangmu said in an understatement, "The murderer is imitating your father's suicide scene" with his face that needs a beating.
On one side is the crazy but reliable Cang Mu, on the other side is the upright but rigid detective Wang Shen. Chen Liang is caught in the middle, and gradually realizes that he is not a good person either.
