The heavy rain still stopped, but became more torrential, filled with water vapor, shrouding the whole world in hazy. The two of them stood under this huge umbrella, facing a small world. The rain and fog completely cut off the hustle and bustle of the outside world. They walked side by side under the umbrella, with the stone road soaked by rain under their feet. The moonlight fell on the water on the ground, and the light and shadow were broken, like a broken dream.
"Look, the rain seems to never stop." The girl's voice was a little tired. She looked up at the sky, as if looking for the end of the rain.
The boy didn't answer, but frowned slightly. His eyes were a little confused, as if he was thinking about something important. Although the world under the umbrella was quiet, he could feel an invisible pressure coming from all directions.
"Have we been gone for a long time?" The girl spoke again, trying to break the silence.
"Well, about half an hour." The boy replied, his voice low.
"Do you think this rain will flood the whole world?" The girl asked suddenly, with a hint of joking in her tone.
The boy smiled and shook his head: "No, no matter how heavy the rain is, it will always stop."
"What about us?" The girl stopped, turned around, and stared straight at him, "When will the rain stop for us?"
The boy didn't answer, just looked at her silently. There was a trace of complicated emotions in his eyes, as if he was struggling with something. The two looked at each other for a moment, and finally the girl looked away first.
"Let's go," the boy said softly, "the rain hasn't stopped yet, we have to continue."
The girl nodded and started walking again. The two continued to walk in the rain. The world under the umbrella was still quiet, with only the sound of rain rustling in their ears.
