Later, in early summer, a merchant ship named "Luoze" sailed into the port of Guangzhou Prefecture. The cabin was full of incredible cargo-a frozen Luoze Lake.
This ship and all the ice on board belong to a quick-thinking and courageous businesswoman named Jiang Qingyue. Today's history calls her the "Ice King", but in the early stages of her career, she was a loser who went through many hardships and obstacles, despite her perseverance.
When Jiang Qingyue was seven years old, the Jiang family suffered a major change. Both parents died. She was brought back to the family by her eldest sister who was already married. From then on, she lived under the roof of others.
When she was seventeen, she thought she had accomplished her studies and volunteered to take her niece south to cure her leg problem. However, the hot and humid climate in the south was not what they had expected. Half a year later, my niece unfortunately contracted tuberculosis and died at the age of fifteen.
The eldest sister also died a year later due to excessive worries. Jiang Qingyue took her last wish and went south again.
The unavoidable hot summer reminded her of the tragic experience of that year, but it also gave Jiang Qingyue, who has modern thinking, an extreme idea: If the ice of Luoze Lake can be transported to the south, can the survival problem here be solved?
For this idea, Jiang Qingyue did not hesitate to sell her property and overcome one problem after another. However, when she went south with ice cubes in a hurry, she ended up in jail.
Recalling that past event many years later, Jiang Qingyue wrote in her diary:
"There are some things that I can never avoid, but I can only go all out and face the darkness before dawn. It will not weaken my will, but will only make me more determined."
