Social animal x octopus / frigidity x heartthrob / calm control x high attack and low defense / falling in love and killing each other / dangerous heartbeat
In Lin Yu's rental house, there is an octopus that likes to escape from prison.
She thought there was glass between them, until one day, the little creature she brought back from the aquarium shop appeared in her world in the form of a "human".
His tentacles slowly wrapped around her wrists, tightening little by little from fingertips to palms with a fine adsorption feeling.
At the edge of reality and illusion, she began to spy on him, and he spied on her. Pulling each other, testing each other, exchanging secrets that have never been told.
She knew he was lying, but so was she.
They looked at each other as if looking at the reflection given by fate.
Until one day, the cage was opened and the tide finally poured in——
Concept: "Others are hell", or others are freedom. This is a story that explores identity, desire and self-identity, while also reflecting on binary oppositions. Octopus wants to be a "human", but does he really understand "human"? Lin Yu is tired of reality, but does she really want to become a "non-human"? Their relationship is not simply "I want to be you" or "you influence me", but an intersection of identities - testing, entangled, and constantly reshaping each other. They look for the boundaries that define themselves in each other: each other's cage and each other's ocean. True self-identity may not be about becoming a certain existence, but about acknowledging one's own uncertainty. In each other's gaze, they found the only freedom - to accept the complexity and incomprehensibility of life.
