"East Lake Canal" will be the longest, most careful, and most tangled story I have ever written.
Before I started writing "East Lake Canal", I had almost given up writing. Because I always feel confused and don't know where to start; I also feel that I don't have enough experience, so no matter what I write, it will be in vain and have no content - until this sentence appeared in his circle of friends:
"If we could freeze it now, it would be a great piece of art."
So I chose to put pen to paper that day. The preface begins like this:
Donghuqu Subway Station is on the edge of my high school campus. People come and go there every day, like a tireless whirlpool, attracting the intersection of countless lives.
As a boarding student, I have walked on that road leading to the subway station countless times. Normally, this is a fifteen-minute journey. If you are running fast, your racing heartbeat is driving your steps, it only takes seven minutes; if you are strolling, time spreads under your feet and stretches to an hour. Every time I walk, memories and expectations are intertwined, accompanying the ups and downs of my thoughts. The beat of the heartbeat intertwined with tears. As we walked side by side to Donghuqu Subway Station, the noise around us was gradually covered by words, as if time had frozen in these moments...
Then let's keep moving forward!
