Synopsis
When the first dazzling red light pierced the sky, the world seemed to have pressed the pause button. High-rise buildings were crumbling in the tremors, glass fragments fell like raindrops, and people on the streets panicked. Screams and cries intertwined together, forming a tragic picture of the end of the world. This is the year 2075, and human greed and shortsightedness have finally led to disaster. Over-exploitation of resources has led to ecological imbalance on the earth; the haze of nuclear weapons has always hung over mankind. An unexpected conflict caused nuclear warheads to roar across the sky and release destructive energy. The sky was dyed blood red by thick smoke and fire, as if even the sun was swallowed up by the flames of doomsday. In this catastrophe, I managed to survive. My name is Jack, and I was once an ordinary geologist. When the disaster occurred, I was conducting geological exploration in a remote mountainous area. When the shock wave of the nuclear explosion swept over me, I relied on my professional knowledge to quickly hide in an abandoned mine. The mine was narrow and dark, and the air was filled with damp and musty smells, but it was my only refuge. I huddled in the corner, listening to the collapse of the world outside, and my heart was filled with despair. As time went by, the radiation dust gradually dissipated, and I mustered up the courage to step out of the mine. The world before our eyes has changed beyond recognition. The city was in ruins, with only ruins of the once high-rise buildings remaining, and the streets were filled with car wrecks and various debris. The air was filled with acrid smoke and the smell of death, and occasionally you could see a few rotting corpses, blown here and there by the wind. I walked aimlessly through the ruins, looking for possible survival supplies. Food and water became extremely scarce, and I had to rummage through garbage dumps to find something edible. Luckily, I found some canned and bottled water in the rubble of a supermarket, which kept me alive for a while. In the afterglow of the doomsday, human nature also shows a complex side. Some survivors formed small groups to support each other and work together to find food and shelter; while others fell into madness and fought for limited resources, even killing people and stealing goods. I once witnessed a fierce fight. Several survivors fought over half a bottle of water. In the end, both were injured and lay in a pool of blood, groaning in pain. In this ruins, I also met some special people. Amy is a nurse. After the disaster, she resolutely stayed in the city to provide medical assistance to the survivors. Her kindness as a healer is like a beacon of light in the darkness of this doomsday, giving people hope and warmth. We traveled together, looking for survivors in the ruins and providing them with help. Although our strength is meager, we believe that as long as there are still people who stick to it, there is still hope for rebuilding the world. However, the shadow of doom has not completely dissipated. Although the radioactive fallout has dispersed, the long-term effects of the nuclear explosion continue. Many people suffered from radiation sickness, were weak, had weakened immunity, and struggled painfully on the edge of life and death. Food and water resources are becoming increasingly scarce, forcing people to venture into dangerous areas in search of supplies in order to survive. And those strange creatures awakened by the nuclear explosion are also wandering in the ruins, becoming a new threat to the survivors. During a search for food, we encountered a group of strange creatures. Their appearance is distorted, their skin appears a strange green color, and their eyes glow with a faint red light. We turned in terror and ran away, but the creatures were incredibly fast and hot on our heels. Just when we were about to be overtaken, a figure suddenly appeared, holding a homemade spear, and bravely rushed towards those strange creatures. That was Tom, a former soldier. With his excellent fighting skills and courage, he bought us precious time to escape. In the end, we managed to escape the pursuit of those weird creatures, but Tom was seriously injured. We took Tom back to the temporary shelter, and Amy cleaned his wounds and treated him as best he could. Tom was lying on a simple hospital bed, his face pale but his eyes still firm. He told us that although the end is cruel, we cannot give up hope. As long as we unite as one, we will be able to overcome difficulties and rebuild our homeland. His words were like a warm current, warming the hearts of each of us. In the afterglow of the doomsday, our group of survivors supported each other and moved forward with difficulty. We built simple shelters with materials from the ruins, collected rainwater, grew vegetables, and worked hard to survive. Although the road ahead is full of unknowns and dangers, we firmly believe that as long as there is hope in our hearts, we will be able to usher in a new dawn. We look forward to the day when we can rebuild a beautiful home on these ruins so that human civilization can once again be full of vitality. Purpose: Be a better version of yourself
