It tells the story of rural young men Shan Dadong and Jiao Zhier who have been childhood sweethearts. After Shan Dadong returned from a three-year adventure, he discovered that Jiao Zhier had married his cousin Ermao, which triggered a series of conflicts. In the end, Shan Dadong and Ermao drew swords against each other.
