The world before the outbreak of nuclear war is known as the "Old Era". It was a highly chaotic era in which multiple countries engaged in protracted conflicts over resources, technology and territory. The chain reaction of the war led to a large-scale collapse of the earth's ecosystem, and the abuse of nuclear weapons destroyed most of modern civilization.
Shortly after the nuclear war, the world entered a "fission period." The original national power was dismantled, and scattered warlord forces competing for resources quickly emerged. During this period, mankind faced not only internal divisions; at the same time, a monster named "The Devourer", a fusion of flesh and machinery, appeared to devour cities and humans.
On top of the ruins, the survivors rebuilt the main city of Drenhem, trying to restore unity and order, but its elite monopolized resources and treated the lower-class residents as tool parts.
Under the oppression of the main city, a group of non-commissioned officers were dissatisfied with the oppression of the lower class people by the ruling class. Under the leadership of their leader Natalie, they rebelled against Drenhem and established a new city, Greenholt, with freedom and equality as its core concepts.
This disaster is not a sudden natural disaster, but a concentrated outbreak of global conflicts that have accumulated for hundreds of years. Humanity's technological civilization collapsed rapidly, and the remaining technology became the only way for survivors to continue to struggle for survival in the wasteland. Under the mountains of scrap iron and pipelines, a life form completely born of machinery is quietly growing.
