"That's when it all started."
Yang Guan wrote in his diary.
"I don't know since when, whenever the surrounding environment is quiet, my ears are filled with the sound of dripping.
I thought it was just tinnitus caused by wearing headphones for too long, until the sound lasted for a few days, and it suddenly occurred to me that I had heard this sound before. This is the sound of a telegraph machine. I had one in my hometown when I was a child. I went to the warehouse with my grandfather and heard this sound.
Then I realized that the long string of sounds these days had been cyclical and regular. The sound would be shorter and shorter, and after a while there would be a long pause, and then it would start clicking again.
I wrote down the ticking sounds in my ears bit by bit, learned Morse code, and translated the string of sounds:
"Twenty-Eight Warehouse, save me"
Purpose: Actively explore in the face of the unknown
