The story picks up the ending of the second part of the old version of "Returning the Pearl", with Xiao Qing as the core and continuing the story, describing everyone's lives. The content is an original plot and has nothing to do with Return of the Pearl III.
The characters of Yong Qi and Xiao Yanzi are both adopted from the first part of Return of the Pearl.
Ziwei's character design is a synthesis of the first and second parts, and Erkang's character design is from the second part.
