In the last century, a group of Japanese soldiers broke into a small village under the jurisdiction of Jiangning, burned, killed and looted. Zong Nian's grandfather luckily escaped. Many years later, my grandfather passed away, but these past events kept intruding into Zong Nian's dreams like they had taken root.
