Cheng Shi, an outstanding graduate of the Modern Agricultural University, accidentally traveled to the marketplace of the Northern Song Dynasty, and rebuilt his life in a strange era with his father Cheng Yuan, a historian who traveled with him. The two generations brought knowledge and wisdom, from solving survival crises to inheriting cultural treasures, growing and transforming in the atmosphere of fireworks. After meeting and getting to know Su Nian and other urban figures, a "Jinshi" legend belonging to the Northern Song Dynasty slowly unfolded.
