Yunchu is a little doll who calls his owner Mom, but now his Mom has abandoned him. His tiny body lies in the rain, soaked through, filthy, and covered in scars. He looks utterly pitiful. Kitsunosuke finds him and claims he’ll find him a Mom. Yunchu believes him. But when Yunchu looks up with eager anticipation and sees a group of sword-wielding men, he stammers, “M-Mom?” Yes, male moms. * After a male Mom lures Yunchu into becoming a Saniwa, he plans to lie flat and let everyone cuddle him. He never expects that the entire citadel will want to be his Mom! The sword spirits couldn’t be prouder. Their little Saniwa is soft and sweet, and his smile is like sunshine. The citadel gradually begins to take on his character. They think these warm days will go on like this, until Life in the citadel is quiet and peaceful. Yunchu has shut his bedroom door and is getting dressed when the door, not quite closed, creaks open. Suddenly, he sees a sword at the doorway staring fixedly at his wrist. Yunchu goes rigid and tries to hide his hand behind his back, but the usually gentle sword firmly pulls it out and softly coaxes him: “Master, can you tell me how this happened?” A horrible, deep indentation, like a crack, is visible there, searing the Tsukumogami’s eyes. Yunchu looks at him nervously, hesitates, then shakes his head and whispers, “I can’t say…” He looks pitiful and painfully timid. The Tsukumogami closes his eyes. Under the little Saniwa’s anxious gaze, he gets up and leaves. Yunchu’s hand, raised to stop him, is left hanging in the air. Five minutes later, an alarm suddenly sounds: one of their swords has forcibly gone to the modern world. Kitsunosuke is so frightened he can’t even make his tongue work. Yunchu, worried that he’ll have to find another Mom, looks up in confusion. What do you mean, he’s going to wipe out an entire city because I won’t say who did it?! Note: 1.
