The story takes place in Japan before and after the Meiji Restoration.
Xiaolin Zhuzhi, a girl from a poor family, was used to being abandoned when she was young, whether by her mother or sister. The Edo period took away her mother's life. She was recommended by a letter of recommendation to the Fujiwara Prefecture, a prestigious family in Kyoto, to become the eldest daughter of the eldest lady. Later, she was cruelly abandoned by the Fujiwara Prefecture.
She finally realized that she had made a mistake sincerely, and died in the flowery Tokyo city.
The reason was actually the wrongly sent letter.
