Arnold was not favored by the family since he was a child. However, the heirs trained by Arnold's father, the Earl of Lancaster, passed away one after another. The Earl of Lancaster lay in bed for a month in grief and then passed away. He only hurriedly submitted a request to the king to name Arnold as his heir.
Arnold had no choice but to inherit the title without learning the etiquette of the nobility. After becoming a little earl, Arnold discovered that it was not so easy to manage the territory well. He needed to pay attention to the living conditions of the civilians in the territory, reasonably arrange the food crops in the farmland in the territory, and mediate the conflicts among his knights, especially his Grand Knight Commander Ulysses.
Ulysses was an assassin who lurked around the great Earl Lancaster to collect evidence of his crime and wanted to wait for an opportunity to kill him. But what he didn't expect was that before he could take action, Earl Lancaster himself died.
But he still stayed to observe the new Earl Arnold, hoping to collect criminal evidence from Arnold.
Later, as he watched the little earl build the territory into a better place step by step, he began to appreciate Arnold more and more in his heart.
It wasn't until he saw Arnold going on a blind date with another noble lady that Ulysses realized that he didn't appreciate Arnold.
He has fallen in love with Arnold.
