I am a directing student.
On the edge of the city, there is a long-abandoned hospital. The hospital was like a huge, forgotten ghost, standing quietly on the barren land, surrounded by overgrown weeds and the walls covered with vines, as if nature wanted to swallow up this place that was once full of pain and despair.
As a thrill-seeking adventurer, after hearing all the legends about this hospital, I decided to step into this creepy place on a dim moonlit night. When I pushed open the crumbling door, an old and decaying smell hit my face. It was a unique smell mixed with disinfectant, medicine and the smell of death, which made my stomach churn.
The hospital hall was dark, with only a few rays of moonlight shining through the broken windows on the dusty ground, forming strange spots of light. The table at the registration desk is crooked, and medical records are scattered on the floor, as if telling the story of the busyness and panic in the past. I walked carefully, and I could hear the "creak" sound from the floor with every step. In this silent environment, the sound was as loud as thunder.
I walked slowly along the corridor. Most of the ward doors on both sides were ajar, and I couldn't help but peek inside. The beds in the ward were old and worn, the sheets had turned into a dark color, and some were torn to tatters. In one ward, I saw a worn-out IV stand with a yellowed IV bag hanging on it. Liquid was sloshing inside, like an evil eye staring at me.
Suddenly, I heard a slight groan, which seemed to come from the end of the corridor. My heartbeat suddenly accelerated and my palms began to sweat, but my curiosity still drove me towards the direction of the sound. When I got closer, I found that the door of an operating room was ajar, and the moaning sound came from inside.
Trembling, I pushed open the operating room door, filled with a strong smell of blood. A human-shaped object lay on the operating table, covered with a shabby sheet. I took a closer look and saw a pale hand exposed under the sheet, with fingers twisted as if struggling in pain. At this time, I heard a heavy breathing from behind. I turned my head in horror, but saw nothing.
Just when I breathed a sigh of relief, I felt a cold hand on my shoulder. I wanted to scream, but found that my throat seemed to be blocked by something. I slowly turned my head and saw a figure wearing a shabby nurse uniform. Her face was covered by long hair, and only a pair of shining eyes could be seen.
"You shouldn't have come here..." Her voice was hoarse and cold, as if it was a sentence from hell.
I struggled to break free from her hand and ran toward the door. But in the process of escaping, I found that I was always going in circles, seemingly trapped in an endless maze. I rushed into the entrance of a basement in a panic. The basement was dark and damp, exuding a pungent smell of potion.
In the basement, I saw glass jars filled with unknown liquids. There were various deformed biological specimens soaked in the jars, some of which looked like human organs, and some of which looked like weird embryos. I felt dizzy and almost vomited.
Just then, I heard footsteps coming from the stairs, and the sound got closer and closer. I looked around for a place to hide and ended up hiding behind a huge jar. Through the glass of the jar, I saw a group of figures wearing doctors' white coats walking in. Their faces were blurry, but they all held gleaming scalpels in their hands.
They were searching for something in the basement, muttering some strange words. I held my breath for fear of being discovered by them. Suddenly, a mouse scurried past my feet, and I couldn't help but let out an exclamation. Those "doctors" immediately came towards me. I closed my eyes in despair, waiting for the unknown horror to come...
