What to do next?
Will he come?
At this moment, there were footsteps outside the door. Lu Gan's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly covered her red hijab.
The door was gently pushed open, and Wei Xian slowly walked into the room, still carrying the cold air from outside.
He turned around and closed the door again.
Lu Gan felt Wei Xian walking up to her, looking at her through the red hijab, as if he wanted to see through her heart.
Lu Gan smelled a hint of alcohol, mixed with rosin.
"Has Your Highness been drinking?"
"Yeah." Wei Xian's voice was deep, which seemed a little different from the past.
He stretched out his hand to lift off the red hijab. He reached halfway and dropped it again.
Lu Gan took Wei Xian's hand, raised her head, looked at him through the red gauze, and said in a gentle voice, "Your Highness."
"I," Wei Xian paused, "I drank some wine."
Lu Gan nodded, "I know."
"Your Highness, sit down."
He sat leisurely next to Lu Gan and gently held her hand back.
The two sat quietly, saying nothing.
Wei Xian's palms were a little cold, but very strong.
"It feels like a dream." Lu Gan said softly, breaking the silence.
"Yeah." Sitting next to Lu Gan, his voice was low and warm.
"It's time to lift the hijab."
When Wei Xian heard Lu Gan's words, he was silent for a moment, then slowly stood up and stretched out his hand again.
The red gauze slipped off, her eyes flickered, and her face looked softer in the candlelight.
Wei Xian's gaze rested on Lu Gan's face, as if he was admiring a precious work of art.
A faint blush appeared on Lu Gan's cheeks. She lowered her head slightly, avoiding Wei Xian's gaze, and said softly: "Your Highness, please take off your mask too."
"I'm afraid of scaring you." The voice under the mask was no longer cold.
Lu Gan raised her head and looked directly into Wei Xian's eyes. Her eyes were bright and she smiled and said, "You're still hiding this from me."
