An unlabeled videotape records a woman who should not exist.
Lin Shengwen, a film student, found a mysterious videotape in the second-hand market. The woman in the video, Chen An, actually lived in the same apartment as him - the tenant of Room 317 who disappeared seven years ago.
When Lin Shengwen pressed the play button, he opened the door that shouldn't have been opened.
"She saw you through the screen."
Chen An's images began to overlap with reality: the door opened and closed by itself, water stains oozed from the bathroom, and the sound of scratching the wall late at night came from the bedroom... And on Lin Shengwen's wrist, a butterfly mark exactly like Chen An's quietly appeared.
"This apartment remembers everyone who lived in it."
As the investigation deepens, Lin Shengwen discovers the secrets of Room 317: corpses hidden in the walls, the middle of the underground lake, and a cycle of disappearances spanning forty years. And is the old man Li Changde who lives downstairs the earliest victim, or is he "it" in human skin?
"November 15th is coming, who's turn will be part of the story this year?"
Warning: This article contains extensive immersive horror descriptions and is recommended for daytime reading. Timid readers, please do not watch that tape alone late at night...
"Now, it's your turn -"
"Do you dare to live in room 317?"
