Story summary:
Moses, a down-and-out aristocratic girl, woke up from a deep sleep and bumped into a mysterious man who broke into her home. The mysterious man offered to take Moses with him to find her brother Matthew who was far away on the front line outside the city. From then on, Moses walked out of his home and began a journey to find out the truth.
Story background:
A long time ago, a meteorite fell in a coastal city-state with backward civilization and science. Meteorites contain a golden, glowing microscopic life form that resonates with people's emotions and thoughts, but can become flammable and explosive in contact with biological oils. The surrounding animals are affected by the radiation and become huge, violent, change their habits, and will spontaneously migrate in the direction of the meteorite. Mutated species once nearly wiped out humans.
At the beginning of the 10th century, the survivors established a religious state centered on the meteorite sinkhole. They worshiped the "God of Stone", called mutated animals "devils", and regarded meteorites as holy stones given to them by God to resist the devil. A city-state surrounded by walls—Aurora City—was established.
Intention: to break the shackles, get rid of superstition, and redeem love and hate from each other.
