After the restoration of the Bourbon dynasty in France in the early nineteenth century, various class conflicts continued to intensify, leading to undercurrents in social relations and conflicts on the verge of breaking out. The protagonist, Milo Andalis, was originally an ordinary manual laborer, but by chance he met the elegant aristocratic lord Camus Ganymede, and was deeply moved by his crystal-like pure and kind soul, developing a sincere and passionate emotional bond with him.
