The girl paid a price to "God" to fulfill her wish, and her traces in the world were erased. The wish was related to her "sin". In the end, the male protagonist finds the female protagonist's true body among the wild daisies (symbol of the female protagonist, symbolizing life toward death) and dead trees. The female protagonist chooses to return to reality. The world in the book collapses and the male protagonist disappears. Finally, there is an open ending. The cry of the albatross implies that the hero has not disappeared, and there is a gap between the worlds.
