The Battle of Feishui was a war that took place in Feishui (southeast of today's Shouxian County, Anhui Province) between the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the Former Qin Dynasty in 383 AD. In the end, the Eastern Jin Dynasty defeated the former Qin army with only 80,000 troops of more than 800,000 (actually only more than 200,000). This battle is a famous example in Chinese history of defeating more with less. The former Qin, which had an absolute advantage, was defeated by the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and the country declined as a result. All the ethnic groups in the north broke away from the rule of the former Qin one after another. The result of this war delayed the unification of China for at least 200 years.
