On the bridge, Wei Shu confessed to Du Ruo with the most passionate love.
Du Ruo: "Wei Shu, we are like two porcupines. We keep each other warm when we are together. We are afraid of being stabbed when we are close, but we cannot tolerate it when we are far away. We can only test it again and again to find a safe distance. I don't want to reject you, but I am afraid that if we exceed that safe distance, we will all be bruised."
Wei Shu responded to her with a firm embrace: "Du Ruo, we are more like two hedgehogs, dedicating our softest bellies to each other, and using the thorns on our backs to resist the wind and rain outside together."
This is the story of two poor little people redeeming each other.
