The story takes place in a fictional ancient dynasty called "Xue Zhao Kingdom". The country has four distinct seasons and is especially famous for its snowy scenery in winter. There is an ancient stone bridge in the capital called "Broken Bridge". Whenever the snow falls, the bridge deck is covered with white snow, like a fairyland, but it is also the place where the fates of the two male protagonists in the story are intertwined.
