Dawn of Mercury

Note from 1998: When Spaceflight magazine asked me to write a science fiction novel set in space, I had no idea that the novel would look like this. Through "Dawn of Mercury", I tried to describe a blind woman who encountered many troubles, faced loneliness, helplessness, the threat of death, loss of honor and shattered ideals, but she still had the courage to face it all with a smile. This courage came from her optimistic and strong personality and the encouragement from her friends. Due to space limitations, I cannot express all my thoughts, nor can I fully describe the passion I feel during the creative process. I hope that readers will continue or supplement this article. Ruotong not only belongs to me, but also to all people who love life and career. I started publishing science fiction novels in 1995. The output of short works is not large, less than ten in total in three years. On the one hand, the writing speed is limited by spare time, and on the other hand, it is also related to one's own state. Fortunately, the quality of the work is passable and barely pleasing to the eye. According to my personality, it is a miracle that I can do something as a hobby for several years. This is all thanks to my friends, who encourage me with their continued enthusiasm for writing science fiction novels. They have high hopes for me, which is one of the reasons why I dare not give up writing. Not to mention the readers who like my works and support me silently. They are like the sea, giving me the confidence to cheer up when I am slacking off, and the strength to be nervous when I am relaxing. I can only repay them by redoubling my efforts to create excellent novels, and thank everyone who cares and loves me.
