From 1903 to 1933, there were two forces in Fuzhou that should not be underestimated. One is that the prototype of modern industry and commerce has taken shape and developed rapidly, and the other is that folk Wing Chun has formed a powerful gang organization. These two forces made great contributions before and after the Revolution of 1911. The story tells the legendary lives of a woman named Yulan and a woman named Jasmine during these 30 years. Yulan was born into a merchant's family, and married into another merchant's family at the age of 12. Later, when her husband's family went bankrupt, she turned the tide and built her husband's family into the number one tea merchant in Fuzhou. Jasmine is the daughter of wet nurse Magnolia. Because her mother wanted to earn a living, she was sent to a nunnery. This nunnery is one of the birthplaces of Wing Chun. Jasmine practiced martial arts since she was a child and became a successor of Wing Chun. The two legendary women disliked each other at first, and Yulan's husband also fell in love with Jasmine. But when the country was in crisis, they gradually understood each other. In the end, one destroyed his family to save the country, and the other sacrificed his life to serve the country. Both of these characters have prototypes. Magnolia is based on the author's grandmother, and Jasmine is based on Qiniang, the master of Wing Chun in Fujian.
