Midsummer, sunshine, tree shade, cicadas chirping.
The cement floor bakes out layers of heat waves. There are no pedestrians on the old residential road at twelve o'clock. In the convenience store at the entrance of the alley, the fan keeps shaking its head.
The rocking lounge chair and the waving cattail leaf fan.
With a nimble figure, the old man on the recliner squinted his eyes and chuckled, then quietly closed them again.
"Here we go again..." The uncle sat up.
"Two ham sausages." A clear voice.
"Four pieces"
There were four crisp sounds of coins coming from the transparent smoke cabinet.
Pulling on his collar to dissipate heat, he walked out of the shop. Turn straight into the alley next to it.
There are clusters of low green plants in the alley, and the peeling paint on the walls shows mottled white and gray. The tall buildings block the heat and light, which makes it much cooler.
He walked to the end of the alley, poked his head in to take a look, deftly tore off the wrapping film of the ham sausage, broke it into several small pieces, and threw it towards the corner.
A black cat.
It seemed to let down its guard and started eating. When eating, the thin skeleton under the skin is clearly visible.
He reached out and touched the cat's head, looking into its blue-green eyes. Wait quietly for it to finish eating before throwing it away.
After throwing away the last few ham sausages, he stood up.
Turning out of the alley with an expressionless face
