Before the match, when people learned that TCO had signed a new starting player, and that he was only a streamer, the entire pro scene sat back to watch the show. They mocked, attacked, and cursed him. Some even declared that Pei Han would be the downfall of TCO. Then the match began. The rookie everyone looked down on took a pentakill without changing expression, played flawlessly, and led the team to victory. His performance proved everyone wrong. * At first, Pei Han only got curious after hearing a report from one of his players, so he searched for the streamer. It was all a coincidence. The streamer was good at the game and had a nice voice. The chat was full of people talking about him, but what mattered most was the gameplay he showed. Thinking of the future, Pei Han hoped to bring him onto the team. It began with a million. They got along well when they met. Wen Jing wasn’t quite what Pei Han had imagined, but he was still great. Wen Jing proved his ability, so Pei Han responded with the same sincerity. Certain this was the best arrangement, he extended the offer without hesitation. It was a gamble, and they were both all in. * Five years. In the dazzling world of esports, China’s best result had been a semifinal finish, never making it to the finals. Countless people predicted the scene’s decline, unaware that a new star was rising that year. He reached his peak at debut, covered in glory, and brought home the trophy that belonged to China. The whole world witnessed him ascend to the top. A battle to slay the gods. On this battlefield, he was the god, unstoppable and undefeated. Content warnings? (I don’t know if these count as warnings.) 1. A power fantasy. The protagonist is the strongest throughout the whole story, an ultimate boss, but this is still a team game. I won’t write him as someone who can do anything and everything, so read with caution! 2. The plot comes first: lots of matches, with the plot and romance in roughly a seven-to-three ratio. There’s a lot of game content. A LOT! This is a passionate esports power fantasy. Readers who prefer romance may not enjoy it as much. That’s about the romance taking up less space, not about it being bad. The main focus is the plot and the matches. 3. A MOBA-style competitive game, inspired by League of Legends and Honor of Kings. 4. I’ve added a whole bunch of original worldbuilding, including heroes and skills, so some things might seem familiar, but they’re not the same. Everything follows the author’s own setting, with no real-life counterparts or direct parallels. This is fictional esports! If you think the tactics or team compositions don’t make sense, don’t flame me! If something comes off dumb, that’s because my skill is limited, so don’t blame the protagonist!
