Seventeen-year-old Xia Huaizhi met Jiang Qinian. He was her good classmate and best friend at school. He was always there when she was in danger. Even though Xia Huaizhi failed in the college entrance examination, Jiang Qinian did not dislike her. In the tenth year of their relationship, Xia Huaizhi was diagnosed with cancer.
