Six people from different regions and with different personalities went to Hanshan to practice swordsmanship together by chance for eight years. Because they shared weal and woe and shared the same interests, they fell in love with each other and became life-and-death friends. When they parted, they agreed to reunite in Hanshan ten years later and travel together to the world's famous mountains and rivers. They regarded this as the most beautiful vow in their lives.
But after ten years of separation, the world was in chaos, and each of the friends encountered great difficulties: some were reviled by the whole world because of their origins, some were exterminated, some were framed as criminals and were wanted by the whole country, some were wandering around the world to save their country, some fell in love but could not embrace each other, and some even turned against their former friends because of the opposition between their families and their country.
For the sake of their once magnificent oath, they sacrificed themselves, redeemed each other, crossed thousands of mountains and rivers, went through thousands of difficulties and dangers, saved the people from troubled times, and fulfilled their promise in the sky.
