In the past, there was no entertainment. Children gathered around the elderly to listen to stories. There are no records of the stories, they are all passed down orally.
When I was young, I heard some stories from my grandparents, but I was too young at the time and didn't remember them clearly.
Later, when people of my grandparents' generation either passed away or their memory faded, I began to feel it was a pity that those old stories disappeared with their passing.
I went to visit an aunt a few days ago. She is my oldest aunt, and she is almost 70 now. It is rare that she has an extraordinary memory, and she still remembers many stories. Some of the stories were told by her grandparents (fuck me, it seems they were still in the Qing Dynasty when they were born).
I recorded some stories according to her dictation. They are not original, and do not attack the stories as misogynistic or anything like that, because they are handed down from that era, or can be viewed as a kind of historical record. I also retained some dialects in spoken language.
If you have heard the stories told by the old man, you are also welcome to comment below.
Purpose: Collect records
