The 20-year-old Ming'an first met the 25-year-old Shao Chenglin on a mountain climbing trip with a friend. A chance encounter and a life-saving grace are something that Ming An will never forget. Ming'an would often think of those eyes, sharp and ruthless, but the owner of the eyes was filled with infinite tenderness in his movements.
I met Shao Chenglin again at a mountaineering selection meeting held by Ming'an University. Shao Chenglin was sitting in the audience as the selection leader. Ming'an heard a familiar voice and turned around.
