Main story complete
My next novel will be The Blind Date That Landed Me a Real CEO
Synopsis:
Ning Jia’s mother arranged a marriage for him. To an older man. “My stepfather’s company was in the red, so they sent me off to sell me for money.”
His friend was stunned. “What is this, the olden days? How can you put up with that?”
A week later, Ning Jia met his arranged-marriage partner. To his surprise, it was the guy he’d had a crush on in college: tall, handsome, broad-shouldered, long-legged, and practically perfect. As it turned out, he was only two years older.
Ning Jia pretended to be calm. “A little patience now will pay off in the long run.”
Before the wedding, Ning Jia’s mother instructed him, “After you get married, don’t go running around. Stay home and cook for your husband. Listen to him, be obedient, and don’t argue with him. Your father’s company is counting on you.”
Ning Jia clenched his fists. “I can’t take it. Not for one second.”
To get back at his mother, Ning Jia did his best to rile Lin Zong every day. His left eye gazed at him with tender affection: “You’re such a wonderful senior.” His right eye glared at him with resentment: “I’m going to kill you.”
It was an agonizing life.
At night, he still wondered why his stepfather’s lousy company hadn’t gone under yet.
His senior really was as good as they came: gentle-tempered and endlessly patient. Ning Jia’s plan had fallen through, so he had no choice but to take the initiative. “If you’ve got nothing else to do, let’s get a divorce. I’m sick of this.”
Lin Zong undid the button he’d just fastened. He wasn’t in a hurry to go to work; there was plenty of time. “If we’ve got nothing else to do, what would you like to do?”
Ning Jia: “…”
Ning Jia: “Honey, I love you.”
The Blind Date That Landed Me a Real CEO synopsis:
Jiang Ruan was still young, but his mother nagged him day and night to get married. Unable to take it anymore, he came out.
That very day, his mother arranged another blind date for him, with a man.
The date was at a romantic Chinese restaurant where a violinist played, and the two of them got along wonderfully.
Afterward, Jiang Ruan pointed to a man in the corner and asked his date, “Could you ask that guy for his contact information for me?”
His date: “?”
Fu Chuan looked like a pretty boy, the sort who lived off other people, all dressed up with an empty wallet.
Jiang Ruan couldn’t have been more pleased with him.
He pursued Fu Chuan relentlessly, never saying he loved him or that he was gay, but making it clear in every other way that he wanted to give Fu Chuan a home.
Fu Chuan was worn out. “Bring me the prenuptial agreement.”
Jiang Ruan: “I’ll give you five million a year!”
Jiang Ruan and Fu Chuan got married, and the relationship was everything it was supposed to be, except their roles were a little mixed up.
Jiang Ruan wasn’t having it. “Fu Chuan, come over here and rub my legs.”
Fu Chuan started rubbing, but things quickly took a turn.
Jiang Ruan was feeling weak and asked Fu Chuan to help him recover.
Fu Chuan made him drink a whole bowl of goji berry tea and told him exercise would help him absorb the nutrients.
Later, Jiang Ruan took on a project for his company and lost money.
He was five million in debt, so selling Fu Chuan would cover it perfectly.
After thinking it over, Jiang Ruan decided to contact the company he owed first. “Hello, please find attached the IOU for five million.”
At the other end of the computer, CEO Fu received the divorce papers Jiang Ruan had emailed him. “?”
Jiang Ruan: “Sorry!! I meant to send this to my pretty-boy husband!”
Theme: Live life positively. Tomorrow will be better.
