Du Huan was captured in the Battle of Talos between the Tang Dynasty and the Abbasid Dynasty of Arabia (the Black-clad Dashi) in the 10th year of Emperor Xuanzong's Tianbao reign (AD 751), but he escaped by chance. In order to rescue the prisoners of war of the Tang Dynasty who had become slaves in foreign lands, he led the mercenaries to counter the rebellion of the Arab Empire; he suffered the humiliation of the defeat of Dalos; he captured the rebel leader and moved to the Middle East and the Mediterranean coast. During this period, the Anshi Rebellion broke out in the Tang Dynasty, and his father-in-law and his friends were framed and killed.
