Cobb woke up from the beach in Yokohama and found himself in a dream. Cobb remembered jumping off the roof of the building, but he didn't know whose dream it was, or what power was used to create a dream like the real world. But luckily, when Cobb just woke up, he met Osamu Dazai, who transformed into a dream world and took on the form of Choi Kiku. Cobb didn't know why Osamu Dazai turned into another person, nor why there was another Osamu Dazai in this world, so he chose to look for the uniqueness of this world. Cobb finally got what he wanted and learned the truth about this world: this was the world that Dazai Osamu wanted to experience most before he died, but he clearly understood that this was not the world he deserved, so Dazai Osamu transformed himself into another person, and Dazai Osamu, who was watching the world from a distance, became partners with Oda Sakunosuke. Because of this, Cobb knew what kind of world Dazai Osamu really wanted to live in: a world where he could be friends with Oda Sananosuke and watch Oda Sananosuke finish writing the novel. And because there was no other Cobb around Dazai Osamu in this world, Cobb chose to create a "perfect world" for Dazai Osamu where he could become friends with Oda Sananosuke and stay away from Dazai Osamu. ——This is the story of the first volume.
Cobb constructed his own dream world: pushing Dazai to the side of justice and letting his ingenuity be used for justice. Cobb made the same choice as the leader Osamu Dazai: if you want to protect someone, stay away from him and bear the darkness of the world on your own. But at the same time, he also felt the loneliness that Osamu Dazai felt in the first world. Cobb could have endured loneliness because the mother who created him took away the emotions from his body, but Cobb knew Dazai and had learned emotions, so he could not bear this loneliness even more.
