The Dizang Temple in Kunming, Yunnan, was first built in the Dali Kingdom. In the seventh year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty, the Dizang Temple was destroyed by war, and only the sutra building in the temple survived. "Unofficial History of Nanzhao" records that the scripture building of Ksitigarbha Temple was built by Yuan Douguang, the official secretary of the Dali Kingdom, for the purpose of "liberating Confucianism", but the reason for its construction has always been a mystery.
