Wang Yuntian, a son of a wealthy family, witnessed the Japanese killing a child on the street. Later, his father was also assassinated by the Japanese. He came up with the idea of protecting his family and the country, and applied for the Central Military Academy. After graduation, he went to the German Military Academy to study. After returning to China, he participated in the Battle of Songhu and the Battle of Nanjing. He narrowly escaped death after the Battle of Nanjing and died in the Battle of Fujin Mountain.
