Chigen, a sword from the Heian Kyo period, was a gift for the declining Onmyoji clan. Legend has it that it was made of unknown ore from the sky. The original swordmaker is unknown. It was named after killing two ghosts with eyes all over its body before dawn. Later, it was named after the Heike family. It declined and was stolen due to lack of care by servants. The thief temporarily placed it in a dilapidated temple at the foot of the mountain in order to escape the pursuit of the Taira family. After the thief was arrested, he returned to the temple.
