This article is a continuation of Chapter 7 of Dostoyevsky's unfinished novella "Nedochka Netsvanova".
"Nedochka Netsvanova" is the only major work by Russian writer Dostoevsky in which a woman is the first perspective. The three completed parts narrate the heroine Niedochka's tragic childhood experience, the pure and passionate relationship with the princess after she became an orphan and was adopted by the Duke, and the redemption of her adoptive mother who has been mentally abused for a long time.
The continuation part mainly tells the story of the reunion of Niedochka and Princess Katya eight years later, as well as the ups and downs of Niedochka's life after she became famous in the singing world. The beautiful but short-lived relationship with the princess during their boyhood has become more intense and profound after the passage of time. Niedochka finally completed her feminist awakening after experiencing events such as becoming famous at a young age, falling off the altar, and exploring new art forms.
