At dusk, children climb trees and stretch their necks like baby birds, waiting for their parents who will never return. All they could see were gray mountains connected to each other, endlessly far away. The trees on the mountains surrounded the village like a sea. They were floating on this ocean of nothingness, like an abandoned island.

The farmer was walking on the dirt road with his shoulder pole, one foot deep and one foot shallow. Suddenly he raised his head——
The billowing black smoke rushed towards my face, the raging fire lit up half of the sky, and the flowerpot instantly overturned and fell down!
