Explore more →A Collection of Plot-Driven Gems
Fast-paced, suspenseful, twist-filled plot-driven stories that keep you on tenterhooks. I’m an omnivore, so this list may include all sorts of categories, with or without romance (I’ll label them).
[Top-Centric / No Romance]
Power couples, swoony and handsome, total-dominant tops, doms, snarky characters, doglike or catlike characters, cute poker faces, beautiful and tragic, arrogant kings, delusions of grandeur, rivals-to-lovers, secret identities, selfcest, alpha/alpha, melodrama. Top-focused stories. Some are unfinished, so read at your own risk.
Garden Illustrations for 6-8 Coins
If you can earn reward points, chapters 7 and 8 are both worth 5 actual Jinjiang coins. Left chapter, right coins.
Keeping Track of Recent Favorites
Currently reading.
Miscellaneous Omnivore's Reading Log 2
Danmei, romance, no-CP, anything goes. Some are great, some are terrible. This is just a record for myself.
Worth Rereading When You’re Out of Books
I've bought every chapter of these books and think they're worth revisiting when you're out of things to read. A variety of pairings, mostly BL and no-CP.
Only Here for the Beloved Girl
Any genre, any category. Wherever there’s a female lead, I’m there. I don’t really follow ongoing stories, so I can only vouch for the good parts I’ve read. Hopefully none of them end badly.
Reading Log *2
Still keeping track: a second big hodgepodge.
Ongoing Series
What I've been reading lately. I prefer derivative fiction and BG, but there are some BL titles too.
No CP, Selfcest, Secret Identities
Focused on ambition and achievement. The protagonist stands alone. No one understands you better than yourself. I love beautiful, strong, tragic characters, and I love satisfying stories too.
Garden Illustrations, Personal Collection 1
The most expensive one cost 7 Jinjiang coins, or 5 coins after using points. I've run out of existing illustrated reading lists, so I had to put this together myself.
Anime Crossovers, Secret Identities, Frail Leads, and Battle Scars
I like beautiful, strong, tragic characters, battle-worn characters, and sickly, frail ones. Lots of fanfic, mainly Detective Conan, plus Bungou Stray Dogs, Jujutsu Kaisen, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, DC, and more. I read a lot of danmei and no-CP stories, especially secret identity and fake-tragedy stories.
Feel-Good Power Fantasies, Light and Angst-Free
Categories are as described in the list title. My ratings: 5 stars, endlessly rereadable; 4 stars, delicious; 3 stars, best enjoyed with a little suspension of disbelief; under 2 stars, special circumstances. I’ll update this whenever.
Comics, Games, Transmigration, and Secret Identities
Lots of beautiful, tragic characters and misinterpretation tropes, with all kinds of POVs. Not suitable for fans who are particular about their favorite character’s role.
My Personal All-Time Favorites, Fully Read 222 (Ongoing Updates
All titles bought in full. My favorites: beautiful, tragic characters, showbiz, esports, transmigration through time, secret identities, and infinite-flow stories. Includes romance, BL, and stories without romance. See my profile for more.
[BL/No CP] Kink-Fic Reads
I will always champion secret identities, battle-worn characters, fake tragedies, misunderstandings, people getting the wrong idea, white moons, and beautiful, strong, tragic characters!
Family Bonds, Sibling Love, and Twins: Recommendations
I absolutely love stories about family bonds! Family-focused stories are the best! This is technically a recommendation list, but I’m also looking for books. Anyone have any good family-focused reads? I only read female-led stories and romance.
Real-Time Updates, Bullet Comments, and Forum-Style Stories
Includes manga, novels, anime, and games. Mostly original works, with bonus points for a save-the-world main plot. This is my personal index; I haven't read or finished some of these yet, so feel free to add suggestions in the comments.
Female Leads
I prefer feel-good stories with charismatic protagonists.
Wow, These Female-Led Stories Without Romance Are So Good
Here I am, back for no-CP stories with female leads (I keep wandering off and coming back). Some little thoughts after finishing them...
My Recent Comfort Reads
Ratings: solid, top-tier, god-tier. No male leads; danmei and romance. Mostly historical RPF, fantasy danmei and fantasy romance. I’ve found very few good historical danmei and historical romance stories, so there aren’t many recommendations
All Kinds of No-Romance Stories!
No-romance stories are so good (nom nom nom)! I'll keep adding to this list. I love secret-identity stories, characters transmigrating through different worlds, and all kinds of feel-good stories where people mistake the protagonist for a genius. Feel free to recommend some! I'm picky.

I have been following the author for several books. The biggest difference between this book and Haig's is the emotional line. It's a bit more playful over there, the relationship line is okay, the brother and sister are pretty good [Rainbow Fart], but... I don't really like the ending where Bixi wants her brother to canvass for votes in order to get the first place. Obviously Lingling has done so much, I think she can get votes naturally [crying] In addition, the canvassing part is not as good as the roommate who was moved to canvass for votes, not as good as the girl who was saved twice and canvassed for votes, not as ordinary people who were really moved to canvass for votes spontaneously [crying] [crying] I need someone else, not my brother. The feeling of ordinary people saving the protagonist and the "protagonist" saving the protagonist are different, it seems to negate the hard work of our Lingling role
When the extra came out, I took another look and flipped through it. In fact, I am a little confused as to why there are so many negative reviews? It's purely subjective. I think this novel is very interesting. Ling Ling feels that the tear attack is useless because outsiders will not soften their hearts just because she sheds tears. Instead, they will get bored. Only those who care about her will soften their hearts. But even if Lingling doesn't shed tears, her brother will be soft-hearted. Just as her brother sheds tears, Lingling will soften her heart. The two brothers and sisters depend on each other for life. Their miserable life is because of the ungrateful old man and the fat fish, but not because of themselves. When she was young, Lingling could only rely on her elder brother, and her elder brother also relied on his younger sister as his psychological support. They relied on each other. Because of their childhood experiences, both brother and sister are actually imperfect. There is always a part of the brother that will never grow up, and the sister saw the indifferent side of the world too early and does not believe in the world. The elder brother loves his younger sister and regards his younger sister as a psychological support, but why doesn't the younger sister regard her older brother as her own psychological support? Love is a two-way street. A brother barely raising his sister is actually no different from a single mother working hard to raise a child. Because of the mother's hard work, because of the family's financial constraints, and because women are weak in some aspects, as long as the children have a conscience and feel sorry for their mother, they will keep to themselves and will not give up high-value things or have hobbies that cost money. They dare not fight with others and are afraid that their mother will work harder because of them. Can you understand the child and both parents, but not the brother and sister?
It's beautiful, but I feel sorry for Ling Ling and You Shuo. The brother and sister are really miserable. They grew up in an abnormally set incubator. In fact, compared with the normal spirit, the brother and sister are very distorted. This ending is already a good ending. It's a pity that those people didn't Everyone will get the retribution they deserve, but in other words, if we really want to clean up, how many people are still alive. For Ling Ling, she still doesn't want to have a bad image in her brother's heart. It's also very distorted for You Shuo, but You Shuo's tolerance may come from being constantly designed since he was a child. After modifying the character, You Shuo is not a holy father. He became a night watchman in order to make money to support the family. In the end, he agreed to the night watchman's wish because he felt that his sister was dead. I think it was because he felt that his life was meaningless but he had no malicious intention to kill other people. In the end, You Shuo did not clean up those people. He chose to "understand" because his sister was still there. He wanted her to live a normal and good life as an ordinary person. Both brothers and sisters had a twisted obsession with hoping that each other would live a normal and ordinary life. Both brothers and sisters, You Ling and You Shuo, should be happy.
I kind of forgot, do ordinary people nowadays know that superpowers are real? In my impression, some ordinary people have guessed it and discovered it, but it seems that there are still descriptions, and many ordinary people still think it is just a cartoon, not reality. Can any friends who are more impressed tell me?
In fact, when I saw my brother choosing his sister among the world and his sister, I suddenly thought of the brother in the original comic. Will he feel resentful if he knows that the scumbag is still alive but his sister is really dead? I think even though my sister is still alive, I hate why I didn't take her away. If my sister dies, my brother's mental state will be even worse. (Why not pick up my sister? If I pick her up, my sister will not die.) Such a situation Actually, I feel like my brother killed the person who killed his sister and died with her.
I can't escape from Tourmaline's clutches. Is there any character of the same type that you can recommend to me [please]
It's still too delicious. I'll try it again.
Nice! I don't have enough vocabulary but all I can say is that it looks great! To be honest, I personally don't like novels with "secondary school" themes, because I can't understand many things, and it would be difficult to understand. When I first read the first chapter, I thought it would be the kind of manga-oriented novel that made me think it was a "manifesto" or "slogan", but I found that the more I read, the more I felt that the writing was really great! The protagonist has transformed himself into a comic character. He is obviously acting but feels like he is really two people. I don't know what to say! Anyway, it looks good! That kind of yandere becomes less embarrassing after she puts on the setting of her performance, and then it seems reasonable to reveal that she is really "yandere". After all, I am getting older, and I am not the kind of person who likes to read novels with yandere and gloomy protagonists before. However, this novel is well integrated, not obtrusive, and still touching, even though I clearly know that there are elements of acting. It's very good-looking, and it's on par with another novel about the awakening of a comic book character that I read before! [Star Eyes] Beautiful!
I'm so touched. The brother-sister team must have a good [kiss]
I laughed so hard that I failed to follow the path that every author who writes about be follows [Star Eyes]
